FITC-dextran study: Effect of DHA treatment on behavior. DHA or saline treatments were administered at 1 h after 2 h of MCAo. Total neurologic score (normal = 0, maximal deficits = 12) was measured during MCAo and then at 24, 48 and 72 h after MCAo. The degree of behavioral recovery in DHA-treated animals exceeded that of saline group at each time point.
